West of Uptown, from W Trade Street to Berryhill Road and from State Street to Tuckaseegee Road.
The Historic Seversville neighborhood of Charlotte is one of the city’s oldest communities. Seversville was settled in the 1800s as one of Charlotte’s original ring villages; the first neighborhoods surrounding the city’s center. The early version of the neighborhood flourished as a mill village, supported mostly by the nearby paper mill, Savona Mill. Today, the neighborhood is an eclectic mix of businesses on W Trade Street and State Street, historic homes, and new construction homes and townhomes. The LYNX Gold Line, which runs down W Trade Street, has 2 walk-up transit stops in the neighborhood, and connects to the LYNX Blue Line in Uptown.
